Enzo Berti Italian designer and artist, born in Pianiga in 1950, attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice under the supervision of Alberto Viani and, later, the first Advanced Course in Industrial Design, from Faculty of Architecture.
Several publications and collections testify his works, including the Encyclopedia of the MoMa in New York.
For MEMMO.Venezia, he was inspired by the traditional dictates of Murano's glass art and contaminated them with the concepts proper to the world of textiles: the idea that a glass thread, juxtaposed and superimposed with other siliceous threads, could create a unique chromatic and tactile effect, thus led him to devise and patent a new exclusive technique, called "spinning," where the rigidity and transparency of glass find a marriage with the softness and warmth of fabrics.
