Xiaorong Wang

Born in Shaanxi Province, China, Xiaorong Wang graduated from Xi’an Academy of Fine Arts in 1997 and pursued advanced studies at the Chinese National Academy of Arts and the studios of renowned Russian painters from 2005 to 2006. She is a member of the Shaanxi Artists Association, the Hudson Artists Association (New York), the World Peace Artists Alliance, and the French International Association of Artists and Designers. Wang currently serves as a research fellow at the Yulin Art Museum in Shaanxi.

Wang’s artistic practice spans painting, paper-based works, and installations. Her work fuses Eastern spiritual sensibility with contemporary abstract language, creating poetic compositions that explore the boundaries of form, time, and perception. Through her intricate linear structures and layered visual rhythms, she reflects on the metaphysical, feminine consciousness, and the flow of memory and time.

Her works have been featured in art fairs and exhibitions across New York, London, Paris, Tokyo, Seoul, and other cities worldwide. Widely collected and exhibited, Wang is considered a leading figure among contemporary Chinese women artists, known for her thoughtful engagement with material, abstraction, and cultural memory.

Since 2007, Wang has held numerous solo exhibitions, including “Reflections in Overlap” (2025, Beijing Jindu Art Center), “Time Traveler” (2021, FFA Art Center, Nanjing), “Resetting Eternity” (2019, FFA Art Center), and “Latitude Crossing” (2017, Sumo Gallery, Beijing). She has also participated in major group exhibitions at institutions such as Fukuoka Asian Art Museum (Japan), Macao Museum of Art, POLIS SPACE (Shanghai), Today Art Museum (Beijing), and in prominent art zones such as 798 Art District.
