Zheng XUE

Biography

Born in Beijing, China in 1969.

Graduated from Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University.
Currently works and lives in Beijing.

Artistic Statement

Xue Zheng's understanding and expression of art is not limited to just some traditional things or simple emotional expressions. He believes that the value of abstract and figurative artworks lies in the grasp of the way of thinking. His works are created out of a self-presentation derived from a strong curiosity about the unknown.

Scientific findings show that the origin and development of human civilization is not limited to the Earth itself. For instance, recent advances in quantum physics have exposed unexplained discoveries that gradually suggest an inextricable and mysterious connection between us and the universe. The artist hopes that his work will express, to a greater or lesser extent, the definition of the concept of infinity and infinitesimals in the universe and the exploration of the single origin of human technology, culture and religion that does not come from the earth itself.
